Mardi Gras Mambo 2007 Update! - August 7, 2006
Well folks!
We drove past the construction site for the new 700 capacity venue for next year's Mardi Gras Mambo, and to us it looks like there's no way that they'll get it done by Mardi Gras weekend. To us it looks like it will get done just in time for next year's Summertime Stomp in July, but hey....
We won't be making any decision until the end of September (tickets will be available starting October 1st). If we keep it in the same 230 capacity venue across the street, as in the previous years, it will limit who we'll be booking on the bill with us (probably just two acts instead of four- we want to hold the ticket price @ $30), And the caterers will have to down size their plans.
BUT- the party will be great, the food will be terrific, the hurricanes will be flowing, the 2nd line will be moving, and the music will shake!
So start bringing your dancing shoes out, and let them get some exercise.
Because it will be the kick off for the Sheiks 2007 adventures back out in the streets!
Uh
